Security

• SSL Certificate included with every website at no extra charge
• Free domain name registered to host the site if a certificate cannot be added to the current .sch domain.

Cookies

• Website Privacy and Cookie Policies provided by us as standard
• Cookie system allows users to Accept or Decline cookies, implied consent is no longer acceptable.
  Key points:
• The site must not set non-essential cookies before the user has consented (many sites fail on this one).
• The user must be given the option to opt out.

GDPR

• User activity logs are stored on our system and available on request.

The Data protection regulations have been replaced with GDPR, which covers the use of personal data. In addition, the GDPR regulations require all data handling actions to be logged. The Schools-Online editor logs all user actions, so should a file of school records be accidentally uploaded to the school site, there is a record of who and when the action took place.

Content Transfer / Quick Turnaround

• We will transfer your old site’s content to our system.
• We will offer advice on old content that shouldn’t be moved or needs to be urgently updated.
• Sites are created and content moved in days - most sites are complete within 3 days.

Design Process

• The Site Style Guide provides you with a simple choice of templates to base your new site’s design on.
• You have the opportunity to make suggestions of features you would like to see in the final design.
• Once a style has been chosen we will then use that design to build the new website.
• Schools have full input at every step of production.

Works on mobile

• Every site on our system is fully compatible with mobile devices.

Unlimited Training

• An initial training session, with Pete, is normally booked in as soon as a member of staff is available.
• We use join.me to share our screen with the school and we call you by phone on the day of the training.
• Sessions are kept short and cover the very basics to get you started with editing the site.
• Follow up sessions are available as and when schools need them.
• All schools get unlimited training for everyone who needs to use the editor.
• Onsite training session for Staff Meetings can be arranged based on location and availability, but may incur a cost depending on location.

Unlimited Support

• Unlimited support is included in the annual fee.
• Schools can email or call the office as often as needed and will always receive a quick response.

Site Stats from Google Analytics

• All administrators will be emailed monthly or weekly Page Hits and User Location statistics.
• Schools will provide an email address for this, multiple people can be sent the stats if required.

No Hidden Extras

• The prices quoted include everything, we do not currently charge for any extra services.
• Schools benefit immensely from the shared knowledge we have with schools.
• Any future updates and new features will be included with the annual fee.
