Is your school website fully compliant?
Keeping your website up to date can be a bit of a minefield. Not only do you have to adhere to Government guidance on what schools must publish on their website, you must also ensure that your website follows guidance published elsewhere, for example, does your website have a privacy notice, as required by UK GDPR or a website accessibility statement.
The latest Government guidance (as of the 5th Sept. 2022) now requires schools to publish their school uniform policy and school opening hours. In addition, the Covid Catch-up Premium has been incorporated into Pupil Premium and Recovery Premium. Keeping abreast of these changes can be time consuming.
Schools-Online offer comprehensive school website audits, giving you reassurance that your school’s website meets the statutory requirements for publishing information. We will scrutinise your school’s website against the statutory requirements and obligations within the following:
-
The DfE’s guidance on what schools must publish online
-
Data Protection Act 2018
-
Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations 2018
-
The Public Sector Bodies (Websites & Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018
-
The Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education, and Health Education (England) Regulations 2019
-
Keeping children safe in education 2022
-
The Equality Act 2010
We will check that the relevant information, policies, documents and weblinks are present and up to date, and that any hyperlinks are working.
You will receive a written report, indicating where you fully meet the requirements for each criterion. Where a criterion is not met or partially met, we will highlight this, and leave a comment with suggestions or helpful tips.
